This policy is for the SkateLedger app
This Privacy Policy covers the SkateLedger iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch app from Stay Sharp Sports.
It is not the Stay Sharp Sports retail store privacy policy. Shopping on staysharpsports.com (Shopify) is covered by a separate store policy at:
https://www.staysharpsports.com/policies/privacy-policy
If you only use the store website, that store policy applies. If you use SkateLedger, this policy applies to the app.
Short version
- Your coaching ledger lives on your devices.
- We do not run a SkateLedger cloud account in v1.0.
- Data leaves your device only when you share or send something (for example an invoice by Mail, Messages, or Share Sheet).
- We do not use your app data to track you across other companies’ apps or websites.
- Optional access (Contacts, Photos, Camera, and Calendar where offered) is only for features you choose to use.

What SkateLedger stores on your device
SkateLedger keeps coaching records in on-device Application Support storage so the app can work offline at the rink. That can include:

Data Used to Track You: None.
SkateLedger does not collect the following for App Store nutrition labels in v1.0: Identifiers, Usage Data, Diagnostics, Location, Purchases (App Store purchase history), or Health.
Optional permissions
iOS may ask for permission when you use a feature that needs it:
- Contacts: choose a person from your address book
- Photos: attach an existing photo
- Camera: take a photo for a record
- Calendar: where the build offers calendar features (some builds may show a calendar permission string; production may not expose calendar usage yet)
You can refuse any of these and keep using the rest of the app. Change access later in iOS Settings → SkateLedger.
When information leaves your device
In v1.0, SkateLedger does not upload your ledger to Stay Sharp Sports servers. There is no analytics SDK, Firebase, Sentry, CloudKit sync, or general-purpose network API used to send your coaching data to us.
Information leaves the device only when you start a share or send action, such as:
- Emailing or texting an invoice or offer
- Using the system Share Sheet to send a document to another app
Whatever you send then follows the privacy rules of Mail, Messages, or the app you share into. We do not control those services.
Apple Watch use stays between your paired Apple devices. We do not operate a separate Watch cloud for your ledger.
Music-related cloud sync inside the app is disabled.
Security and encryption
SkateLedger relies on Apple’s on-device storage protections for app data.
For App Store export compliance: SkateLedger uses only exempt / standard encryption as declared (ITSAppUsesNonExemptEncryption = NO). Fingerprints used in the product are SHA-256 style digests, not custom non-exempt crypto.
No security measure is perfect. Keep a device passcode or biometrics on, and use regular device backups.
Children
SkateLedger is rated 4+ and is built for coaches managing their own business records. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through a SkateLedger cloud service, because the app does not operate one in v1.0. Coaches are responsible for what they enter about skaters and families on their own devices.
Tracking, advertising, and sale of data
- We do not use SkateLedger data to track you across third-party apps or websites.
- We do not sell SkateLedger coaching data.
- We do not use third-party advertising SDKs in SkateLedger v1.0.
Your choices
- Delete data in the app by removing records you no longer need, or by deleting the app (which removes on-device app data).
- Device backups are controlled by you through Apple (iCloud Backup or computer backup).
- Permissions can be revoked in iOS Settings.

If you also shop at staysharpsports.com, requests about store orders or Shopify data follow the retail privacy policy, not this one.
Changes
If we change how SkateLedger handles data (for example adding optional cloud sync or analytics in a future version), we will update this page and the App Store privacy labels, and bump the effective date.
